Here is a way to make money on your own free time... It pays as well as a minimum wage job, but it's a lot easier and you can work it around your own schedule.

My older sister worked for Bank Of America as a teller, they paid her $10 a hour starting (In California) and they pay for your college books as well as some other college expenses. I'd look into some of the banks in your area and see if they offer the same thing. Good luck!

Neither one is a "target" school for investment banks. There are schools the ibanks have for generations recruited at, known as targets. They are the ivies, Stanford, Duke, UVA, UMich, some of the top LACs and a few others.

This does not mean you can't get a job at a bank from other colleges, it just means it will be harder if those firms don't target your school.

Also, to get into a top MBA program which is necessary for ibanking, you'll need to work 3-5 years after graduating from college.

Many investment bankers are not getting MBAs these days, they get an analyst job out of college and if they do well they just stay.

Ignore that up there ^^^^^^It's crap^^^^^^

I would recommend working for a company that offers tuition reimbursement benefits. They are tax free and reimburse educational expenses up to $5,250 per year. I worked for the home depot and maxed this out while making my normal wage. Good money for being in college. I would also recommend getting a minor in business or math or something else that is practically useful. There are a lot of "arts" graduates who pour my coffee everyday at Starbux and Dunkin' Donuts. It'll be much nicer to make your "big break" in the arts while making $50,000 per year doing accounting than making $8 an hour making lattes. Harsh, yes. . . but, it's the truth.

Community colleges in my opinion are for those who don't really like college work, but need enough just to get a good job, and thats where it come in handy...but not all credits transfer from a community college to a 4yr, like everybody else is saying, i would do a 4yr/university!!

community college and university are not even comparable... i know people who in high school were C average students and went to community college and have a 4.0 gpa... whereas i had a A+ ave in high school, went to a 4 yr univ and had a very difficult time maintaining a cumulative gpa over 3.5 ... i would recommend comm. college over not going to college tho
