This is an established property managment business renting apartments to graduate college students. I would be buying a 49% position in a LLC. The existing owner would retain the other 51% and would also manage the property for a fee. Our goal would be to sell the property at the end of 3 to 4 years, when the 51% owner is ready to retire and when my son is finished with his graduate program at the same school.

Will I be able to raise my GPA high enough to get into a good college (please answer somebody)
Last year, I had a 4.4 GPA the first semester, but it went down a lot due to the second semester. I’m not exactly sure what my current GPA is, but I would assume it’s in the low to mid 3.0′s. Anyway, I’m going to be a sophmore this year. I want to at least have a 3.8 by the end of the year, so I can be a candidate or whatever for the ‘Honor Society’.. I’ll be in one AP Class, 4 Honors, a language which only has one level, and a gym/tech class that doesn’t even count toward the GPA. The highest value an AP class has on the GPA is a 5. something. That is if you get an A . An A in honors is a little over a 4.0. I slacked off a little bit last year due to severe insomnia. I’d go days without sleeping, so it was hard to concentrate and study. That doesn’t matter anymore though.
Will I be able to get into a good college? Does freshmen year count as much? What do I need to do to work hard, and maintain very good grades?
Also, what clubs will impress colleges? Math, investment, art, science, etc.? I can’t do drama. You don’t have to answer this part.
how much should I invest monthly into a 529 plan?
If I started investing in a 529 after the birth of my child, how much should I invest monthly to have a decent chunk of college paid for?
Am i on the right path to getting into a good college?

Is it too late to start a state 529 plan this late into the game?

I am open to reason.
If I have been running my own company, can someone get into investment banking?
I am planning on going to graduate school and get my mba. I have been building and developing appartment buildings. I am thinking about changing careers and possibly going into investment banking. Is it diffiuclt to switch if you have no financial analyst expierence or previous Investment Banking analstst background. IB has alyways sounded interesting to me. But I know how difficult it is to get into. It is like a old boys club and extremely difficult now thesedays to transition into if you have no expierence or interships in from college.
Jobs that will help me eventually get into investment banking?
I am planning to go to grad school next year to hopefully get into investment banking after i graduate. I am a recent college grad, but not from a big school. My question is, what kind of job can i get right now, full time or part time, that can help me with my resume when i do go and graduate the MBA program and apply for investment banking? Will getting a job as a teller in one of the branch banks help, especially having experience with the bank when i apply for the investment banking division of the bank?
Should I move money for my son’s college into a 529 if I hope to get ‘any’ financial aid for him?
I make a lot of money, after years and years of working hard at the same company and putting up with a lot of BS. My wife and I have driven old cars and lived in a relatively small house all so we could save for our son’s college. He is a Junior in High School. We have about $100,000 saved in a regular savings account and another $20,000 in a 529 plan. Should we move most/all of it into the 529 to improve the odds of getting some financial aid? My fear with the 529 is risking principal in this erratic investing environment – I want to be able to send him to school. Sage wisdom is most welcome!

Preschool study: Benefits abound
Preschool teachers have college degrees and are certified in early childhood education, and parents are encouraged to be involved in the classes. Though many preschool kids also got extra services in grade school, including intensive reading instruction, the researchers found the most enduring effects, particularly for non-academic success, were due to one or two years of preschool.
